First of all, this is not a sponsored post though it feels like it and perhaps I should pitch it to Trader Joe’s. 🙂 Anyway, I do owe the recipe to the grocery store so it is but fair to give them full credit. We live fairly near a Trader Joe’s store so we naturally go there for some of our grocery needs. Oftentimes, they give out food samples for the customers to try and my kids are more than happy to indulge their little tummies and try some free food!
The other day while at Trader Joe’s, I saw my boy happily eating some blue corn chips with what looked like a strange-looking dip. I asked him what it was and he just mumbled what I thought was, “It’s good, Mommy.” Intrigued, I went and asked the lady for the samples she was handing out and even after just one bite of the chips overflowing with this funny-colored dip – I was blown-away! Wow, it was really good!
So, I didn’t hesitate to ask the lady what the recipe for this magical dip was! She happily told me that it was simply a combination of cooked lentils and cilantro dip dressing. I couldn’t believe it – just 2 ingredients to make such a wonderfully delicious dip with multi-faceted flavors! I gotta to try this!
And so I did and my kids and hubby tried and tested it and they all agree – it tasted exactly like the sample in the store – yummy!!!. These are the 2 main ingredients that make up this awesome dip!
Make it for your family and friends and serve it as appetizers for your summer party! Don’t forget the chips!
Easy 2 Ingredient Lentil and Cilantro Dip

This 2 Ingredient Lentil and Cilantro Dip is a super-tasty and mega-easy recipe that everyone will love. Perfect for any gathering and your guests will love you for it! Promise!!!
- 1 (17.6 oz) packet of Trader Joe’s Steamed Lentils
- 1/2 a bottle of Trader Joe’s Cilantro Dressing
- Place the steamed lentils and the cilantro dressing in a food processor or a powerful blender. Process until smooth to your liking. I love mine with some texture so I don’t over mix. Now go get some chips and enjoy!
Yield: 20-24 Tablespoons
