Manila Spoon
Just 10 MINUTES to make this quick, easy and delicious stir-fry! Perfect for using those left-over grilled sausages or hot dogs and with zucchinis and sweet peppers added it’s a wholesome dish for everyone!
1lbLeft-over grilled or fresh Sausages (or Hot dogs), sliced diagonally
5tbspSweet Chili Sauce, use up to 6 tablespoons sauce diluted with about 2-3 tablespoons of water, adjusted to taste or heat level preference
Salt and pepper,to taste
Instructions
Heat up a wok or a large frying pan to medium heat. Swirl in the vegetable oil. Add the garlic and onions and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add the sliced grilled sausages and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the peppers (or zucchini or a combo) and cook just until tender-crisp. Season with a little salt and ground pepper, to taste, if desired. I sometimes don’t add any salt and pepper at all.
Quickly, stir in the sweet chili sauce to coat the sausages and veggies. Cook just until the sauce is heated through. Serve immediately with some freshly cooked rice. Enjoy!
Notes
TIPS & TRICKSAdjust the heat/spice level to your liking. Just taste diluted sweet chili sauce before adding it and then determine how spicy you want it to be. I use the bottled Asian sweet chili sauce from the Asian store. You may also find this at the Asian section of your grocery. Alternatively, you can also you a sweet-sour sauce as that works pretty well, too.
