In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, water, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, and freshly grated ginger. Mix thoroughly until the brown sugar is fully dissolved.


Place the beef flanken ribs in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the ribs, ensuring that they are fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish.
