Ingredients

For the Cake

  • 2 cups all purpose Flour
  • 4 tsp Green Tea Matcha Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 large Eggs, room temperature
  • 1 cup Chobani Green Tea Yogurt or Vanilla-flavored Greek Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup neutral-flavored Oil (like vegetable or avocado oil)
  • 1 cup white Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

For the Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 4 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2 cups Confectioners’ or Icing Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

For the Cake

  • Preheat oven to 350F/180C. Generously grease a bundt pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, Matcha powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs with the yogurt just until combined. Pour in the oil, sugar and the vanilla extract and mix together.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir to combine.
  • Transfer the batter to the prepared pan. Bake for about 35-40 minutes or until a tester inserted in the middle comes out clean or with only a few crumbs clinging to it.
  • Let it cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

For the Cream Cheese Frosting

  • Beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the milk and vanilla extract and beat until well-blended. Pour over the cooled cake and allow to drizzle on the sides.

Notes

This cake is best enjoyed on the day it is made. If you have left-overs, keep it in a tightly-closed container so the cake doesn't dry up.
