Equipment

  • 1 9x9 baking dish
  • Parchment paper
  • 1 Saucepan

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust, homemade or storebought
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • ¼ cup maple syrup (Use only 3 tablespoons, if you want it less sweet.)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter,
  • ¼ teaspoon maple extract (to enhance the maple flavor), optional
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 9x9 baking dish with parchment paper.
  • Place the pie crust in the baking dish and press in to fit the shape of the dish. Use a paring knife to cut excess pie dough, leaving just the flat bottom of the dish covered with uncooked pie crust. Place in the oven for 9-11 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  • In a saucepan, add the white chocolate chips, brown sugar, maple syrup, evaporated milk, butter, and salt. Stir together over medium heat.
  • Keep mixing until everything melts together and is completely combined.
  • Remove from the heat and add the maple extract (if using), stirring together.
  • Once the pie crust is out of the oven, pour the fudge mixture on top of the crust. Spread evenly.
  • Pour the chopped pecans all across the top of the fudge, pressing them lightly into the fudge with your hands.
  • Let cool completely at room temperature or in the fridge for at least 1 hour before cutting.
