Scrub the potatoes clean under running water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
Pierce each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking. Place in a microwave safe dish and cook for 7-8 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes.
When the potatoes are done, brush or spray with olive oil and generously sprinkle with salt.
Preheat your air fryer to 385F for about 3-5 minutes. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching each other.
Cook the potatoes in the air fryer at 385F /390 F for about 10-15 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes and how many you are cooking or until the skin is crispy to your liking. If you’re baking the potatoes only in the air fryer, then bake them for 40-60 minutes, again depending on their size and the number of potatoes being cooked.
Halfway through the cooking time, flip the potatoes to ensure even cooking.
Once the potatoes are tender and easily pierced with a fork, remove them from the air fryer.
Let the potatoes cool for a few minutes before slicing them open. Butter then serve with your favorite add-ons.
