Ingredients
 

For the Crust

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed Oreos
  • 4 tbsp melted butter

For the Filling

  • 8 ounces of cream cheese (full fat or less fat), softened
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 6 ounces of semisweet chocolate (3 oz bar and 3 oz chocolate chips), melted and cooled
  • 1 ½ cups of heavy cream

Instructions
 

For the Crust:

  • Combine the crushed Oreos and melted butter in a bowl. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie pan/plate. Refrigerate while you prepare the filling.

For the Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Slowly add the melted chocolate, ensuring a smooth and velvety texture.
  • Set aside the chocolate and cream cheese mixture.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate and cream cheese mixture, maintaining the airy texture.
  • Take the chilled chocolate cookie crust and pour the chocolate mousse filling into it. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to spread the filling evenly, reaching the edges for a smooth top.
  • Cover the pie with plastic wrap or an airtight lid and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results. Once the mousse has set, remove the pie from the refrigerator, slice it into wedges, and serve chilled.
  • Garnish each slice with a dollop of extra whipped cream, a sprinkle of cocoa powder, or chocolate shavings.
