10 Minute Tiramisu Dip

This is a delicious tiramisu dessert in dip form! I’ve brought this to a party and everyone loved it. So easy to make and it’s ready in 10 minutes or less. Perfect sweet appetizer for the holidays, picnic, party, or any gathering!

Greetings from Cornwall, England! My family’s here with me right now as I write this post. It’s both a business and pleasure kind of trip for us.

It’s business because we are here to settle my mother-in-law’s estate and, right now, we’re still waiting for the probate court approval. We are also in the process of selling her flat so we got loads to do more as you can imagine.

But, since we’re here in England we thought it would be best to take a break here and there. That’s why we’re in Cornwall – to get a much-needed break and get some wonderful breath of fresh sea air and eat some delicious cornish pasties, too! 

It’s been a wonderful couple of days so far and while we’re not here too long, we’re just grateful to be away. 

But, I haven’t forgotten you, my dear readers! Even before I left for England, I made sure I brought some ready-to-publish recipes to make sure I didn’t miss out on my June quota of recipe posts. See, I told you it’s a working holiday! 

Don’t worry, I didn’t really slave myself with tons of posts. As I mentioned, these June recipes (including this delicious tiramisu dip) were all done, eaten, enjoyed, and photographed way before we came here. That’s the life of a food blogger in a nutshell.

Anyway, this 10-minute tiramisu dip was one of the recipes I chose to post for summer because it’s no-bake and so easy to make! I know in summertime no one wants crazy hard recipes because who wants to labor hard in the kitchen when the sun is shining bright and you’d rather enjoy the outdoors! See, I hear ya!

This is perfect for summer entertaining because it can be made several hours ahead which allows you to concentrate on other must-do tasks for the day. And, can you believe it takes only 10 minutes (perhaps even less, if you’re fast enough!) to make?

In fact, if you don’t wish to make this ahead, as long as you have 10 minutes to spare then you can make it at a moment’s notice. Perfect for last-minute entertaining, right?



Well, since this is essentially tiramisu (albeit in dip form) then it has pretty much the same ingredients. In fact, it’s so delicious and tastes like you’re actually eating tiramisu – it’s that good!

So if you’re a huge fan of tiramisu like me, then you’d totally love this! I am a huge fan of tiramisu so much that it was one of our desserts on our wedding buffet! Yup, that’s how much I love it!

  • Mascarpone Cheese – use this for an authentic tiramisu taste but in a pinch, you can substitute cream cheese if you can’t find mascarpone (though they won’t taste the same!) but should still be good.
  • Icing Sugar – use this so the dip is smooth and won’t have a granular or grainy texture if you use regular sugar
  • Espresso Powder – this is what makes tiramisu, a tiramisu, and its main flavoring! Tiramisu actually means “pick-me-up” in Italian because of its caffeine content which comes from the espresso. This powder can easily be found in your grocery or any Italian grocery or Amazon. It may be purchased in a pack of several sachets.
  • Cocoa Powder – not just for dusting, I also add a little to the mix to enhance the taste of the dip.
  • Double cream – use fresh cream if possible for a yummier taste.
  • vanilla extract – you may or may not add this but it does add another layer of flavor so I love it with the dip.

A good electric or hand mixer would be handy for this dip.

10 Minute Tiramisu Dip

  • 16 oz container mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp confectioners' or icing sugar
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder, plus a little extra for sprinkling
  • 2 tbsp instant espresso powder
  • 1 pint carton of whipping or double cream
  • 3 tbsp confectioners' or icing sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract


  • In a bowl, beat the softened mascarpone cheese, 2 tablespoons icing sugar, cocoa powder and espresso powder until smooth.
  • Whip the cream with the remaining icing sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Fold most of it (leaving a small amount for topping) into the cheese mixture.
  • Divide the tiramisu dip into small glassed and top each with a small dollop of the remaining cream. Dust with cocoa powder on top. Serve with Italian lady fingers or your favorite cookies for dipping.


This can be made several hours ahead if you like. Simply add the cream topping before serving.

    This dip is so decadent and delicious! It perfectly shows off all those classic tiramisu flavors, and it makes entertaining so simple when all you have to do is place the dip on the table and let everyone dig in.

    What can be better than a dip that can be made in less than 10 minutes. I don’t like to stay by the stove much so this recipe is perfect for me.

    I made this for a pool party a couple months ago. It was a hit! I made way more than needed though and had to give some to neighbors It was delicious! We are it with those Roulet cookies and cinnamon sugar pita chips. So good!

    Can it be made with fresh made espresso instead of instant espresso powder?

      I used the powder for a more intense and enhanced coffee flavor and because it’s not liquid it ensures that the dip doesn’t get loose and diluted. However, you can try the liquid espresso if you prefer that just ensure it doesn’t make the dip watery or loose.

    I made this and fed it to some girlfriends at brunch. It turned out great and I’ll definitely keep it in my rotation of awesome desserts! Does anyone know though if it freezes well for leftovers?

      Hi Lorna, So glad you all enjoyed it so thank you for letting me know. I haven’t frozen this to be honest. I am afraid it might lose its creamy texture and some flavor because of freezing and with the possible formation of ice crystals in the freezer, may become loose and liquidy. It may still be ok but may not be as good as the original. If you do freeze it do let us know as we want a definitive answer, too. Thank you so much!
